Oklahoma City Police Department are currently investigating what they are terming a "suspicious death" at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex as a potential homicide, following the discovery of a man's body. The body was found inside a unit at the London Square Apartments on Northwest Six Street, located off Melrose Lane between North Rockwell Avenue and North Council Road. Initial reports from KOCO 5 noted the presence of several police officers and crime scene tape at the location, with the crime scene unit called in to further investigate the death.
Oklahoma City Police Department officers responded to an address in the 7500 block of NW 6th St. to look into the suspicious death. According to the report by KFOR, the deceased male was found "with injuries consistent with homicide." As of now, no arrests have been made as police efforts to thoroughly understand the circumstances continue.
An update provided by the OCPD at 12:25 p.m. gave more details on the ongoing investigation, confirming the deceased to be an adult male. As per the update obtained by OKC FOX, the death is "being investigated as a homicide." Still, at this juncture in the investigation, police have neither made an arrest nor detained any suspects in relation to the case.
The Medical Examiner is working to find the exact cause of death, but early signs suggest it may be a homicide. Their findings could give more details about the crime. Meanwhile, police are securing the scene and collecting evidence, hoping to find clues that lead to the person responsible.
