Chaos ensued in southwest Oklahoma City as a medical marijuana dispensary became the target of an armed robbery Sunday afternoon. News 9 reported that multiple suspects stormed the establishment, located near Southwest 59th Street and South Villa Avenue, and escaped with about $2000 worth of product. However, their freedom was short-lived as Oklahoma City police officers swiftly apprehended the individuals near Southwest 15th Street and South May Avenue.
The incident unfolded around 4 p.m., with the suspects making a bold move to abscond with dispensary items before fleeing the premises. According to information obtained by KFOR, officers located the getaway vehicle and took several suspects into custody. Currently, the total count of those involved stands at eight, but the police maintain that the investigation is active and ongoing.
Authorities have yet to release comprehensive details surrounding the heist, including the identities of those arrested or the specific items stolen. However, an alert police response seems to have prevented the situation from worsening.
