The crash, which happened at approximately 12:47 a.m. last Saturday, claimed the life of Dakota Bowen, 27, from Oxford, MS. WREG reports that the MHP is still investigating why the vehicle left the roadway, and currently, there are limited details available regarding the cause of the accident.

The MHP confirmed that Bowen suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The MHP has yet to publicly speculate on the potential contributing factors that may have led to Bowen’s tragic crash. In a statement obtained by FOX13 Memphis, "MHP said Bowen's 2014 Toyota left the road and struck a tree."
