The Pinal County Board of Supervisors hosted an appreciation luncheon this Wednesday, marking the commencement of Volunteer Appreciation Week. To honor those who lend their efforts without thought of recompense, approximately 150 community volunteers who serve on one of the county's eighteen Boards and Commissions were treated to an afternoon of recognition and gratitude.
The observed Volunteer Appreciation Week, which spans from Sunday through the 26th, is a tangible expression of thanks to those who choose to invest their time and expertise for the betterment of the collective lot. These individuals are instrumental in the functionality of the local boards and commissions, according to the Pinal County website.
At the luncheon, as volunteers gathered, shared stories, and enjoyed the community's regard, a highlights video was promised to encapsulate the day's events.
