Tackling a total of 735 incidents, the department has been actively responding to the needs of the community.
According to the Plymouth Police Department's Facebook page, officers made nine arrests and filed four criminal complaints over the course of a week. Although the report didn’t provide specific details about the incidents, it’s clear that local law enforcement had their hands full. They consistently showed up not only to address offenses but also to handle matters of public safety. During that time, they responded to 38 motor vehicle accidents, where their presence was required to document the incidents and potentially prevent further mishaps.
When it came to the more frequent day-to-day policing activities, the department conducted 59 traffic stops and responded to 35 house & building alarms. Traffic stops serve as a vital role for public safety, deterring dangerous driving behaviors and keeping the roads safer for everyone. Building alarms are also critical, ensuring that property crimes are addressed, or false alarms are quickly dismissed to maintain peace of mind for residents and business owners alike.
Moreover, the Plymouth Police were called to intervene in 15 disturbances and investigate 31 suspicious activities.
