In a social media announcement cemented with a flurry of congratulations and hashtags—a visible testament to the journey's end and a new beginning—they officially transitioned from recruits to full-fledged firefighters.
In the announcement that was punctuated with the pride of achievement, Portland Fire & Rescue declared, "There is no longer any connection to being a recruit as all of them are now true Firefighters for Portland Fire & Rescue!"
"We are very excited to have you on board and look forward to you joining us in the stations in your FTO or Kelly Track later this week," the Portland Fire & Rescue stated.
