Staying prepared for the worst has paid off for Ramsey County Emergency Management & Homeland Security (EMHS) as they've clinched a coveted reaccreditation, proving that their readiness levels are nothing to scoff at. They've been through the wringer with the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP), passing with more than just a basic grade. As reported on the Ramsey County website, their reaccreditation signifies a job well done in managing disasters from inception to recovery.
It wasn't a walk in the park, as Emergency Management Coordinator Bryan Mayer points out; the team underwent a "rigorous evaluation" of their emergency practices that's worth a tip of the hat.
"The reaccreditation process involved a rigorous evaluation of our programs and processes, and we are proud that our efforts to maintain high standards for disaster response, recovery and mitigation have been recognized at this level," Mayer is quoted as saying on the Ramsey County website.
