According to an official announcement from Jefferson Parish, roadwork is set to begin on Terry Parkway at the intersection with Belle Chase Highway. From Monday, Apr. 21 at 8 a.m. until Friday, May 9, at 5 p.m. in 2025, lane closures will be in effect, though one lane in each direction will remain open to traffic.
The lane closures, while set to cause some inevitable congestion, are in place to facilitate the replacement of concrete street panels, as the infrastructure of our daily routes succumb to the passage of time and use.
