In a significant drug enforcement operation, nearly 20 pounds of methamphetamine were seized in Robertson County, with an estimated street value of around $400,000. The operation, which involved the Robertson County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), resulted in the arrest of 61-year-old Thomas Clinard in connection with the drug bust. Officials carried out a search warrant at a residence on Fykes Grove Road in Cedar Hill, according to a report by WSMV.
The raid, which took place last Friday, yielded a considerable amount of drugs being removed from local circulation. Arrested by the officials in search of the home, Clinard is now facing charges, including possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell and conspiracy to sell methamphetamine, as indicated by the Robertson County Detention Facility records. Following the seizure, Sheriff Michael Van Dyke stated, "This is 19 pounds of methamphetamine that was taken off our streets of Robertson County," as WKRN reported. He emphasized the heavy impact of the event on drug trafficking in the region, adding, "Illegal drugs will not be tolerated in our community."
As part of the ongoing crackdown on drug distribution, Clinard is currently being held at the Robertson County Jail without the possibility of bond.
