Yesterday, San José Police Department officers were called to a residence in the 90 block of Sunset Court after a report of a shooting, finding an adult male with a gunshot wound upon arrival. The victim was tended to by medical personnel but later died at a local hospital. This marks the city's 6th homicide of the year, according to the San José Police Department.
San José authorities are actively seeking information on the unidentified suspect, who had already fled the scene before police officers arrived. The Homicide Unit has now taken over inquiries. The detectives assigned to the case, Sergeant Van Den Broeck and Detective Estantino, are contacting the public for assistance.
