A woman from San Jose is currently being held at Santa Clara County Main Jail after a violent encounter on Sunday. Officials reported that the Mountain View Police Department responded to a call of domestic violence that led to a stabbing in the 900 block of El Camino Real around 2:51 p.m., as per a Mountain View government announcement.
The victim, who sustained stab wounds to his hand during an altercation with a female acquaintance, received medical attention at the scene. The ensuing police investigation revealed that the dispute, with the suspect known to the victim from a past relationship, escalated when she allegedly tried to stab him and force entry into his home. The suspect had fled the scene but was apprehended later that evening by San Jose Police, who found a concealed firearm in her vehicle.
Identified as 39-year-old Shetaura Johnson, the suspect now faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, inflicting corporal injury on a domestic partner, residential burglary, and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. Notably, during the booking process at the jail, officers discovered suspected methamphetamine on Johnson. This resulted in an additional charge for bringing unlawful contraband into a secured facility.
