Target shoplifters found themselves handcuffed rather than cashing out at a San Jose store after a sweep by Santa Clara County Sheriff's Retail Theft Task Force. An operation last Thursday at the Target located on North Capitol Avenue led to the arrest of nine individuals caught in the act.
The task force’s crackdown recovered various stolen items, from clothing to ink cartridges, with an estimated value of around $1,400.
Among those apprehended in the blitz was an individual with a significant history of retail theft—an individual carrying the weight of two prior theft convictions and three outstanding warrants. In a parallel of misfortune, another individual nabbed during the sting had accumulated four warrants and was found in possession of what are believed to be several stolen credit cards, as per the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.
