
A 68-year-old man was violently robbed last Saturday afternoon in Bronx, triggering a search for the suspect. According to a social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers, the attack occurred around 5:15 p.m. near West 183rd Street and Aqueduct Avenue, within the 52 Precinct's jurisdiction.
The victim was approached by an unidentified male who demanded his property. After the victim's property was forcibly taken, the assailant proceeded to physically assault him. The suspect then made his getaway in a black Ford pick-up truck, assisted by another unidentified male. Witnesses or anyone with information are encouraged to directly call the NYPD at 800-577-TIPS, where a reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. It’s important to note that individuals can report anonymously and still be eligible to receive the reward money.
Residents and business owners in the area have been urged to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity they may witness.
