In a gesture that reflects appreciation for those who have donned the uniform, Six Flags Over Texas is setting aside a series of days specifically to honor military and veteran communities. According to an announcement on the City of Arlington's official website, the theme park will offer free entry to active-duty military personnel, retirees, veterans, National Guard members, and reservists during its Military Appreciation Days event.
The offer is valid for single-day tickets from May 23 to May 26, coinciding with the Memorial Day weekend, an occasion that traditionally acknowledges the sacrifices of military service members. Tickets can be purchased starting April 28 up to May 26, but the complimentary entry is exclusive for the days surrounding Memorial Day weekend. Veterans, active service members and, those from the reserve components can also purchase additional tickets for family and friends at a discounted rate of $29.99 each, with a maximum of six extra tickets allowed.
Eligibility for these benefits requires verification through the ID.me system, a digital platform that provides identity proofing. Special pricing will only be accessible after completing registration on this platform. Meanwhile, those looking to redeem the free ticket offer directly at the park will need to present a valid military ID during the days of the event. Discounts for the military and veteran communities are a centerpiece of Six Flags' homage to service, yet they cannot be combined with other ongoing offers.
