Snohomish County is actively seeking public input on its latest housing and community development proposals. The Draft 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan and the 2025 Annual Action Plan, available for review on Snohomish County's website, detail the strategic use of federal funds to benefit low- and moderate-income individuals and neighborhoods across the county.
Developed in collaboration with the cities of Everett and Marysville, the plans outline a five-year roadmap for allocating Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. These programs are critical in addressing housing affordability and stability, yet the involvement of community voices remains a cornerstone in ensuring the funds are directed where they're most needed. Public comments on the draft plans are welcome until May 8 at 4 pm.
A virtual public hearing is also slated for April 23 at 9:00 a.m. Residents can join via Zoom or simply call in to voice their opinions and concerns.
