This morning, a fire ravaged a South Memphis business, drawing the Memphis Fire Department (MFD) to the scene at Crown Entertainment and Banquet on South Parkway East. While the MFD has yet to release an official cause of the fire, the community feels the incident was not merely a happenstance. According to a woman involved with the business, who spoke to WREG, the venue had hosted a gathering just hours prior to the blaze. "We had a ball in there last night. I didn’t even have clothes on. I had my scrubs on from work. We left at 2 o'clock. Now, here it is at 5 o'clock and my club has burned down. Who did it?" she lamented.

Fox13 Memphis revealed further details, such as the establishment's owner assuming the fire was an intentional act. He mentioned the building housed a motorcycle club and operated on weekends.  The MFD has confirmed no reported injuries stemming from the incident.

As of now, the cause of the fire remains under investigation by MFD. Local station Action News 5 reached out to MFD for additional information, but a response has not been given.
