The community in St. Bernard Parish has a chance to show their support for one of their own at an upcoming spaghetti dinner fundraiser. The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office is organizing the event for Reserve Division Lt. Tony "Te-Ton" Jeansonne, who is courageously fighting leukemia.

Scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, from 4:30 to 8 p.m., the dinner offers attendees to not only enjoy a meal but also give back to Lt. Jeansonne during his time of need. According to the Sheriff’s Office website, the event will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2107 Paris Road, Chalmette. Plates are available for purchase at $15 each, with options for pickup, dine-in, or delivery for orders of 10 or more.

The Sheriff's Office has openly expressed their support. "Te-Ton has given more than 25 years of his life to protecting this community," Sheriff James Pohlmann said. "He’s been a constant presence at our festivals, parades, school events, and holidays. Now it’s our turn to be there for him." This was reported on the Sheriff's Office website.

Jeansonne’s extensive public service history includes him being a volunteer Reserve Division deputy—a fully trained law enforcement officer who does not receive pay—and serving as the Constable of Ward J. The community is encouraged to participate in the fundraiser to help cover his medical expenses as he continues to brave his fight against leukemia. Delivery orders for the event need to be placed by Monday, April 14, and payments can be made in advance by scanning a QR code on the promotional flyer.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to assist with Lt. Jeansonne’s medical costs and provide crucial support during this challenging period. #SBSO #KeepingStBernardSafe #StBernardFOPLodge64
