A man was found shot inside a vehicle late Tuesday night. The victim was discovered in the 5000 block of Vernon Avenue, inside a crashed Toyota that had also collided with two parked vehicles.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, police reported that the incident occurred shortly after 11:15 p.m., following a call about an "accident with injuries." Upon arrival, officers found the man with gunshot wounds to his back. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Homicide Division is currently investigating the case. As of now, no suspects have been identified, and the motive remains unknown.
