
A fatal shooting in Dutchtown has sparked a homicide investigation following the death of a 37-year-old man. The incident occurred yesterday evening, in the 3500 block of Alberta, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The victim, now identified as Jesse Woods of the 3800 block of Louisiana, was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Police responded to reports of the shooting just before 8:15 p.m. Woods was quickly taken to the hospital by EMS, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. An effort to understand what led to the fatal shooting is ongoing. The homicide division is actively looking for leads and has not yet identified any suspects in connection with the murder.
