After a three-month long manhunt, police have successfully apprehended a suspect involved in a fatal southeast Atlanta shooting. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Aldrickus Brown, 45, was arrested on Tuesday in Conyers with assistance from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Brown's arrest ensued from an incident that took place on January 30. It was on Wylie Street SE where officers, upon responding to a call of a person shot early in the morning, discovered a man inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound, who, on the verge of dawn, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Atlanta Police Department has transported Brown to the Fulton County Jail for processing. The identity of the victim, as WSB Radio reports, has not been released by police.
While Brown sits behind bars at Fulton County Jail, the investigation into the killing continues to be very much active.
