
Following a shooting outside Dillons Sports Bar in Lawrenceville, the Gwinnett County Police Department has confirmed that one man is dead and a suspect has been detained. The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. at the bar located at 850 Dogwood Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered shell casings scattered across two separate areas of the property—one in front of the bar and another near a neighboring nail salon, as detailed in an official Gwinnett County Police Department statement.
Authorities have identified the victim as 21-year-old Jeffrey Gibson of Atlanta, who tragically succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital shortly after the incident. The suspect, 26-year-old Marcus Robinson from Dacula, was taken into custody at the scene and is now facing charges of Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. Robinson is currently being held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond, and has yet to quickly issue a statement regarding the situation.
