
Tempe residents can look forward to the return of Movies in the Park at Kiwanis Park this May. The event will take place on the first four Fridays of the month, with the first movie screening scheduled for May 2, according to the City of Tempe.
The opening night will feature the PG-rated film "Moana," starting around 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as the "Summer of Fun Kickoff" celebration will begin at 5 p.m. The event offers a variety of activities and provides information about upcoming summer events from the city's Parks and Recreation Department, according to a recent city announcement. The event is free, with sponsorship from the Tempe Diablos. On May 9, "Moana 2" will take the screen, followed by "Coco" on May 16, a touching animated film about music and family. The series will conclude on May 23 with "Surf's Up."
Gathering under the open sky at Kiwanis Park, located on Baseline Road and Ash Avenue.
