Drivers in Atlanta are being advised of a temporary road closure on East Paces Ferry Road NE, starting from Grandview Avenue NE to East Shadowlane Avenue NE. This closure, which is set to begin at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025, and expected to end by 6:00 a.m. on Monday, April 21, is to facilitate the disassembly of a construction crane at 348 East Paces Ferry Road NE. Atlanta Department of Transportation announced the road closure in advance to allow commuters to plan alternate routes.
The ATLDOT has detailed detour plans for both eastbound and westbound traffic affected by the closure. Eastbound drivers will be redirected to turn right onto Grandview Ave NE, then take a left onto Pharr Rd NE, followed by a left turn onto Piedmont Ave NE. Westbound drivers will need to turn left onto Maple Dr NE, make a right onto Pharr Rd NE, and then a right onto Peachtree Rd NE. Enforcement officers will be on hand to assist with traffic control and ensure that the disruption is managed smoothly. Sidewalks along the south side of East Paces Ferry Road NE will remain open, ensuring pedestrian access is maintained.
Motorists and local residents with questions or concerns about the road closure are encouraged to reach out directly to the Atlanta Department of Transportation via email at [email protected]. The department is committed to providing the necessary guidance and support during this short-term disruption to help mitigate the impact on the daily commute of residents and visitors alike. This crane dismantling operation is part of the ongoing construction activities that signal the city's continuous growth and infrastructure development.
