The Tewksbury Police Department has turned to social media in a bid to apprehend a shoplifting suspect involved in a March 14 incident at a local Home Depot. The post by the Tewksbury Police Department, which includes an image of the alleged perpetrator, seeks the public's help in identifying the man, who reportedly walked away with merchandise valued at just under $950.
Described as a white male, standing around 5’6” and weighing about 150 lbs, the suspect was last seen donning a tan safari hat, a blue and grey New Balance jacket, and grey sneakers. According to the Tewksbury Police, he made his escape in a white Honda CRV, although both, the vehicle's license plate and the identity of the driver remain unknown at this time.
The incident, which took place at approximately 8:43 PM, resulted in the theft of multiple items with a total value of $948.91. The Home Depot in question has likely experienced similar setbacks, as retail establishments are often targeted by those seeking to capitalize on lax security or momentary diversions.
Authorities have encouraged anyone with information on the individual or the getaway vehicle to come forward. The CRV, which bore the suspect and his stolen goods, was last seen heading onto 495 North.
