Construction on 96th Avenue is set to begin the week of April 21. Achen-Gardner Construction will install a new storm drain system from Van Buren Street to Roosevelt Street. The project will bring traffic changes and road closures along the route, according to the City of Tolleson.
Traffic on 96th Avenue will be northbound only from Van Buren to Pierce. The section from Pierce to Roosevelt will be closed. The City of Tolleson stated, "Access to homes and businesses will remain open."
The project will cause road closures and major disruptions in the area.
