Beginning today, drivers at the intersection of East 31st Street and Memorial Drive should plan for route adjustments. Due to necessary utility work, lane closures will affect traffic flow.
The southbound right-turn lane on Memorial Drive and the outermost westbound lane on East 31st Street will be closed. The City of Tulsa has announced that these disruptions are expected to last approximately one week.
To try and alleviate potential traffic snarls, the city is encouraging motorists to follow clearly marked detour routes. Official advisories also recommend drivers to exercise increased caution when driving near the construction zone, further suggesting that allowing additional time for travel could be wise as delays are anticipated during the utility work period.
