Two arrests have been made following an incident on Tuesday at a Paradise Valley resort, where police say a man was assaulted and a woman abducted. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the male victim reported that two individuals forced their way into his hotel room around 3 a.m., attacked him, and kidnapped his female companion. The Paradise Valley Police were quick to respond, launching an immediate investigation based on descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle provided by the victim.
Continuing the narrative, the suspects' vehicle was located at a residence in south Phoenix where it was placed under surveillance. "A person matching the description of one of the suspects was seen getting into the vehicle and leaving," according to the police statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix. This individual was later identified as Tradarian Clewis. Additionally, another suspect, Reginald Kimbrough, who was the registered owner of the car, was apprehended at the home.
Additional details emerged from 12 News, revealing resort guests had heard screams concurrent with the reported kidnapping, followed by the sound of a swiftly departing vehicle. The female victim was found safe inside the home where the suspects were apprehended. She confirmed to police that she was taken from the resort "without her consent," as per court records. The records also indicated that the victim had previously been in a relationship with one of the suspects and had tried to hide her location to avoid contact. However, she briefly reactivated her location services, which ultimately enabled the suspects to locate her.
The names of the man and the woman involved in the incident have not been released, nor has the name of the resort. Clewis and Kimbrough are facing charges of kidnapping, burglary, and aggravated assault. The quick cooperation between Paradise Valley Police and Phoenix Police played a crucial role in rescuing the victim and bringing the suspects into custody.
