Universal Orlando Resort has announced its plans to bring the Epic Universe experience across the country in what’s dubbed the "National Epic Universe Portal Tour." The touring showcase kicks off this spring in Atlanta. It will appear further in major cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago, providing a glimpse into the upcoming Florida theme park's attractions.
The main feature of the tour is a 30-foot model of Chronos, which Universal describes as the "portal" to the park's five lands. According to FOX 35 Orlando, visitors at the tour stops can expect day-time previews, led by video montages and photo ops, and at night, a "spectacular night show" featuring vibrant lights and music. Oh, the power of branding: Instead of waiting around for folks to come to them, Universal's taking a mini version of their park to the people.
Those eager to know more about the Epic Universe's attractions will be served an up-close experience. The tour will feature zones dedicated to "Celestial Park," "Super Nintendo World," and "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic," among others. In addition, families can look forward to the "Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience," which allows you to transform into classic movie monsters, as reported by WFTV. It is an opportunity to preview the reason for your next major credit card debt.
For those planning to visit the park in Orlando, tickets for Epic Universe are now on sale, including single-day passes available starting on June 1. Those tickets also include options for visiting Universal's other three theme parks. Full ticket availability and booking details can be found on Universal's official website, as detailed by KTLA.
