Tragedy struck Vallejo early last month when a traffic collision claimed the life of a local driver, marking the city's third traffic-related fatality in 2025. The Vallejo Police Department (VPD) released a statement confirming the incident occurred on March 3, and the driver involved succumbed to his injuries yesterday.
The collision, initially responded to by the VPD Patrol Division and Vallejo Fire Department (VFD), occurred in the northbound lane of Jack London Drive at the intersection with Susan Street. A vehicle was discovered bearing the scars of a violent veer from its charted path, one that resulted in a collision with multiple parked vehicles devoid of occupants.
No evidence has been found to suggest that alcohol or drugs played any role in the incident. However, the precise cause remains under investigation by the VPD Traffic Division, according to the Vallejo Police Department.
The identity of the deceased has been withheld, pending the customary process of notifying next of kin, a task that falls within the solemn duties of the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
