A violent incident disrupted the pre-dawn hours near a fast-food establishment in northwest Atlanta. According to information from FOX 5 Atlanta, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officials responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Checkers located at 2600 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway.
Upon arrival, police discovered a victim with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. In the urgency of the situation, medics rushed the individual to Grady Memorial Hospital, where they are expected to recover from their injuries. Found in the parking lot, the police have not yet released the identity of the victim apprehended in the wake of the gunfire.
A concurrent report by Atlanta News First shed further light on the victim's condition. It was confirmed that the 47-year-old man was alert, conscious, and breathing when he was taken to the hospital, though no additional information regarding the circumstances of the shooting was able to be provided by the victim.
