A woman has been arrested and charged with the murder of another woman following a shooting incident in DeKalb County on Saturday night. The DeKalb County Police Department responded to a report of a shooting just after 10 p.m. on April 19, in the 1600 block of Derwin Brown Drive. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, arriving officers discovered 25-year-old Kaaylynn Jackson with a gunshot wound.
Despite being quickly transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, Jackson later succumbed to her injuries. Living with the victim at the time, 24-year-old Janai Colbert has been charged with malice murder as stated by WSB-TV.
