Gunfire disrupted the peace of Rock Street NW late Wednesday night when Atlanta police responded to a shooting. According to the Atlanta Police Department, at 10:29 p.m., a 28-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her foot at 879 Rock Street NW.
The victim was transported to the hospital while conscious and alert, fortunately sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. There have been no arrests so far, and details about any suspects or the events leading up to the shooting remain scant.
The police ask anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
