A tragic turn of events unfolded in Forest Park, as an 18-year-old man, identified as Jaeden Smith, was shot and subsequently died from his injuries. The Forest Park Police Department received a call to the 700 block of Northland Village around 6:05 p.m. on Monday, leading them to the site of the shooting.
Upon arrival, first responders found Smith with a critical gunshot wound. He was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where, according to FOX19 NOW, he was dead on arrival. The suspect, 38-year-old Domynic Elahee, turned himself in shortly after the incident and was charged with murder. Elahee allegedly disposed of his weapon following the shooting, which police are currently seeking.

A resident, Ramiah Taylor, expressed his shock and concern for the neighborhood to Local 12, saying, "I’ve heard gunshots before, but when I saw this, I was like, why? Why? Why here in this peaceful neighborhood? Kids play around here. People are nice here. And I’m just thinking about the kids."
Currently, Elahee is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center, with authorities confirming that no other suspects are involved.
