
An 8-year-old girl has tragically passed away after being involved in a multi-vehicle crash on the Loop 202 freeway in Chandler. The incident, which occurred near Kyrene Road, was first reported yesterday, May 8. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the collision involved four cars and necessitated the extrication of the young girl, who was then found to have life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported at the time.
The eastbound lanes of the freeway were shut down for several hours as emergency crews attended to the scene. During this time, the westbound lanes reportedly remained open. As details emerged, the Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that at least two individuals had to be extricated from a vehicle due to the crash. It was later announced that the young girl did not survive her injuries, a heartbreaking development reported by 12 News.
