The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce (MBCC) is all set to host the 99th iteration of its annual awards dinner gala, the Miami Beach Ball, on Saturday at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. As per an announcement by Community Newspapers, City National Bank presents this year's black-tie affair with over 600 attendees expected to come together in a grand celebration of community, progress, and purpose.
This year's theme, "From Sand to Sparkle: A Journey Through the Magic of Miami Beach," promises a captivating tour of North Beach, Mid-Beach, and South Beach through immersive design and dynamic entertainment. Attendees will also be treated to a culinary experience that represents the city's diverse cultural fabric. "The Miami Beach Ball reflects the heart of our Chamber's mission: to bring people together, recognize those who uplift our community, and reinvest in the city's future," MBCC Chairman of the Board, Richard Segal, told Community Newspapers.
Furthermore, the evening is not just about revelry but also about reinforcing Miami Beach's educational foundations. Proceeds from the gala will partly fund the Miami Beach Chamber Education Foundation, aiming to advance access to education and healthcare. “Every dollar raised translates into real resources for our schools – whether it’s a mental health counselor at Beach High, scholarships for graduating seniors, or a state-of-the-art teaching kitchen that helps students prepare for a career in the culinary industry,” shared Gala Co-Chair and Co-Chair of the Education Foundation, Robin Jacobs, in a statement to Community Newspapers.
A series of prestigious awards will also be handed out during the gala. Honorees include Barry Skolnick, who will receive the Leonard A. “Doc” Baker Lifetime Achievement Award, and high-profile entities from Haute Living receiving the Corporate Citizen of the Year Award, to the Major Food Group who will clinch the Excellence in Tourism Award. Additionally, the Gift of Life Marrow Registry is set to get the Jan Pfeiffer Distinguished Service Award, and Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell, a proud Miami Beach High School alum, will receive the City National Bank Beach High Outstanding Achievement Award. A glimpse of the honorees was provided by Miami Beach Chamber Of Commerce, inviting participants to an evening of live entertainment and curated dining experiences. Tickets for the Miami Beach Ball are priced at $500 per person, and attendees can secure their spots via a registration link.
