Voters in Athens-Clarke County's Precinct 7A, take note: your polling place has moved to a new location for the summer 2025 elections. As reported by the ACCGov Elections Department, the Board of Elections has given the nod to shift the voting venue from Timothy Baptist Church to the ACC Library, situated at 2025 Baxter Street. For those casting ballots in the Special Primary / Special Election on June 17 and the subsequent runoff in July, you'll be joining your neighbours from Precinct 7B at this new site.
Since the church at 380 Timothy Road expressed the desire for relocating the precinct's polling spot, officials made the library an interim voting location. This change doesn't tinker with district boundaries or precinct designations; it simply dictates where individuals in Precinct 7A will show up if they opt for in-person voting on Election Day. To keep everyone in the loop, new precinct cards will be dispatched via mail, detailing the update.
