According to the Atlanta Police Department, Zone 2 officers received the call at around 10:40 a.m., arriving at the scene to find that the victim had already been taken to Grady Hospital by a private vehicle.
The details of the shooting are still emerging, but what's known is that the victim, who has not been publicly named, was suffering from a gunshot wound upon arrival at the hospital and his situation was dire, with medical staff working fast to stabilize him, his life hanging by a thread, and the authorities were quick to try piecing together the puzzle of events that led to this violent act.
