
In a recent report by the Atlanta Police Department, available on their official website, it has come to light that Lieutenant Kyle Kleinhenz has been arrested and charged with Sexual Battery. The incident, which occurred on May 18, involved a dispute between an off-duty Kleinhenz and a rideshare driver, where the lieutenant was accused of inappropriate conduct during the course of the ride near 2429 Bolton Rd. NW, as detailed in the APD statement.
According to the police report, the investigation was taken over by the Special Victim’s Unit due to the nature of the allegations, Kleinhenz was identified as the suspect, he was not in uniform and was subsequently arrested and taken to Fulton County Jail. Following the arrest, and as of May 19, Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum announced that Kleinhenz had been relieved of duty, and there has been an investigation opened by the Atlanta Police Department’s Office of Professional Standards, which is standard procedure when an officer is involved in criminal activity, they aim to hold officers accountable and ensure public trust is upheld.
