
A man is currently wanted in connection with a road rage incident in Brighton, where he allegedly assaulted another driver with a hatchet. According to the Boston Police Department, 27-year-old Andrew Oprian of Belmont has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Willful and Malicious Destruction of Property, as a result of the event which occurred late last week.
The confrontation in question happened at about 11:45 p.m. last Friday, May 16, near 1032 Commonwealth Avenue. After receiving a call about a motor vehicle accident, police were notified about, a man wielding a hatchet and attacking the windows of the involved vehicle. A straight warrant for Oprian's arrest was issued yesterday, May 20 by the Brighton District Court.
