On Wednesday, at about 12:45 p.m., unidentified individuals managed to make off with a staggering $19,750 worth of sunglasses from a location at 335 Newbury Street. A total of forty-one pairs of sunglasses were reported stolen, according to a community alert released by the BPD.
Investigations into the larceny are being spearheaded by detectives from District D-4. With the culprits still at large, the BPD is turning to the community, requesting assistance to identify the individuals caught on surveillance footage during the incident. Valued at approximately $19,750, the forty-one pairs of high-end sunglasses represent a significant loss to the retailer. Detectives are reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding the larceny and are pursuing all leads.
