
The Boston Police Department is requesting the public's aid in identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery that took place earlier this week at a variety store in Roxbury.
According to detectives assigned to District B-2, the robbery occurred on Monday, May 19, around 7:02 a.m. at 236 Quincy Street, the Quincy Variety Store. The perpetrator, caught on surveillance footage, is described as donning a gray New England Patriots hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, and a face mask. It's reported that the individual absconded with an undisclosed sum from the store's cash register.
A further update provided by the Boston Police showcases an enhanced photo of the suspect which they have disseminated in hopes that someone might recognize the individual. The suspect was last observed crossing Quincy Street, heading in the direction of Magnolia Street towards Kineo Street.
Authorities are combing through evidence as part of their ongoing investigation and have urged anyone who might have information about the crime, or recognize the individual in the photo, to come forward.
