The City of Boulder, alongside Team Player Productions, has announced that the Boulder Creek Festival will make its much-anticipated return over Memorial Day weekend, from May 23 to May 26. This community staple is expected to draw in a crowd well over last year's 150,000 attendees, offering a sumptuous blend of free live music, art, and food over its three-day extravaganza.

As stated by the City of Boulder, the festival kicks off with a Friday evening concert featuring Steely Dead, followed by Magic Beans on Saturday. The festival will host more than 30 bands across various genres, including indie rock, folk, bluegrass, and reggae. Music acts scheduled for the weekend include the Boulder Sound Machine, set to perform on Monday.

A key highlight for families attending will be the 'Creekside for Kids' section, where the young and young at heart can soak up kid-friendly concerts by Jeff & Paige, dive into interactive performances, and engage in a variety of games and attractions. Additionally, for those with a fond appreciation for craft beer, the Creekside Beer Fest will feature local favorites such as Avery Brewing Co, Upslope Brewery, and Ratio Beerworks on May 24 and 25. Tickets for this tasting event are set to be released in April.

Food enthusiasts can look forward to a wide array of cuisine options with over 30 food trucks and vendors offering everything from vegan dishes and international flavors to classic carnival treats. The festival will also present a shopping experience akin to a farmer's market, hosting over 200 artisans selling a diverse range of art, apparel, ceramics, and home goods.

Art lovers have something special in store with the Street Wise Art Battle, a creative partnership between the festival and Street Wise Arts. As per the festival's press release, 10 artists have been hand-selected to participate in an epic painting competition, with their masterpieces set for display across Boulder and available for auction, the proceeds of which will go to Street Wise Arts. The competition will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., where festivalgoers can vote for their favorite artist.

Boulder Creek Festival Event Director, Ryan Slater, encouraged potential attendees by saying, "Soak in the sunshine and enjoy a delicious cold beer at the Creekside Beer Fest, shop and wander through our market featuring a number of local craft makers, and enjoy some of the best live music that this state has to offer at Boulder Creek Festival," as per City of Boulder.
