In a recent maneuver by Everett police, a 24-year-old Cambridge man found himself on the wrong side of the law after allegedly operating a stolen motor vehicle and being discovered with a loaded firearm. The Everett Police Department took to social media to report the Monday evening incident involving the arrest of Clarck Walker Jean.
The incident unfurled on Main Street when Officers Palermo and Uga, suspecting the vehicle to be stolen, confirmed their suspicions with Everett Dispatch and initiated a stop with the aid of Officer Davidson and Officer N. Basteri, as Jean attempted to evade on foot the officers gave chase and were able to corner him despite a tense moment when he seemed to be reaching for something in his waistband. Following a brief pursuit, Jean acquiesced to the officers' demands, revealing upon his detainment the presence of a firearm snug against his hip. reported the Everett Police Department.
Mr. Jean was subsequently charged with Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle and multiple firearms related charges indicative of the seriousness with which law enforcement views such transgressions.
