An Arizona man, Kurt Aaron Colin, has been sentenced to spend 105 years in prison following his conviction for multiple child sex crimes. Fox 10 Phoenix reports that the 49-year-old Chino Valley resident was found guilty on seven counts of sexual exploitation of a minor during his March 2025 jury trial.

Colin's sentence is the result of a collaborative investigation that started in February 2024, when Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) detected the downloading of known child pornography in the Chino Valley area. As detailed by Fox 10 Phoenix, the subsequent search warrant executed at Colin’s residence revealed a substantial cache of illegal images.

Yavapai County Attorney Dennis McGrane issued a stark warning against those who prey on the innocence of children, emphasizing the harsh prosecution measures awaiting such offenders. "Yavapai County has no place for persons who are sexually attracted to children," McGrane said, as cited by AZ Family. McGrane also expressed a desire for the sentence to act as a deterrent, saying, "I hope the lengthy prison sentence that was imposed in this case deters anyone else from victimizing young children."

During the investigation, authorities found images involving victims under the age of six and other children subjected to sexual assault. While Mr. Colin will be facing the rest of his life behind bars, the young victims, McGrane noted, a reality resonating with a painful echo through the corridors of the justice system, "will now spend the rest of his life in a prison of his own making, many of the young victims of these crimes also face a lifetime of dealing with the horrors they were subjected to." McGrane told AZ Family.
