Clark County and several cities are considering a new multijurisdictional business license for sidewalk vendors. The proposal would allow vendors to operate in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson with a single license. The proposed licensing change will be discussed in several government meetings. The Clark County Commission and Henderson City Council will address the topic on Tuesday. The Las Vegas City Council will discuss it on Wednesday. The North Las Vegas City Council will take it up on June 4. A report by the City of North Las Vegas notes that vendors often operate in multiple jurisdictions, and the change could help streamline their licensing process.
To qualify, vendors must have a state business license, health permits for each setup, health cards for all workers, and a commissary agreement if needed. Officials are also considering similar licenses for other types of businesses, as stated by the City of North Las Vegas.
