The Cobb County Water System (CCWS) and the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority (CCMWA) have announced the winners of the 6th Annual waterSmart High School Photography Contest. The competition invited students from Cobb County and City of Marietta School Districts to submit photographs across six categories: Water at Play, Water at Work, Water in Nature, Water and People, Protecting Water, and Conserving Water.

According to the Cobb County website, winning photographs are currently on display at the Mable House Arts Center in Mableton from March 11 through this coming Friday. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In addition to receiving cash prizes, student winners will have their photographs featured on printed note cards.

An online gallery of all winning entries is also available on the Cobb County Water System’s Flickr page for those unable to visit the exhibit in person.

The contest is part of an educational effort by CCWS and CCMWA to promote awareness about water use, conservation, and sustainability among local youth and the community.
