The City of Coral Springs has announced the winners of its 2025 Business Excellence Awards, heralding local businesses for their innovation, dedication, and positive impact on the community. Among the triumphants are leaders like Privacy Glass Solutions, the Cook and the Cork, and legacy mainstay Runyon's, exemplifying excellence across facets of growth, sustainability, and community service.
In the category for Large Business, Privacy Glass Solutions has been acknowledged for its significant expansion and effect on the local economy, growing from a mere two-person operation in 2005 to a flourishing enterprise with a workforce of 58 today. "The Business Excellence Awards give us the opportunity to spotlight the incredible work being done by our local businesses," said Kristi Bartlett, Director of Economic Development, in a statement that was picked up by the City of Coral Springs. The Small Company Award was snagged by Plaster Carousel, a community cherished business since 1983, not just serving as a retail space but also passionately supporting children and families grappling with pediatric brain tumors.
Atlantis Academy, with its enduring support for students boasting learning differences, has been bestowed the Heart of the Community Award, while the Legacy Award goes to Runyon's, a restaurant that's been dishing out culinary delight since 1984. Springs Soccer Club, despite being a newcomer established only in 2020, is recognized with the Commissioners Award for their contribution to youth sports and character development.
Hitchcock Design Group, which marked its territory on the Coral Springs business landscape with a University Drive location in April 2023, received the Company to Watch Award. In collaboration with the city’s Parks & Recreation Department, the firm has already begun infusing creativity and community sensibility into its projects. The Cook and the Cork has been conferred with the Sustainability Award, embracing environmentally friendly practices and being commended for serving the community with a care that extends beyond the plate to the environment. According to information gleaned from the city's official announcement, Dena Lowell and Chef Keith Blauschild's establishment combines innovative cuisine with a commitment to green operations.
