
Last Saturday, tragedy struck on Highway 58 in Klamath County, Oregon, as a motorcycle collided with a commercial truck. The Oregon State Police were called to the scene of the accident at approximately 12:23 AM, where they discovered the aftermath of a fatal two-vehicle crash.
According to the initial findings, reported by Oregon State Police, a northbound Yamaha TW200 motorcycle, driven by 47-year-old Terryl Thomas Ball of Crescent Lake Junction, entered Highway 58 from Crescent Lake Highway and made contact with a westbound Freightliner commercial motor vehicle with an attached trailer. Hattan Seraj Alotaibi, a 32-year-old resident of Clackamas, drove the Freightliner. Ball was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hattan Seraj Alotaibi, the commercial truck driver, reportedly did not sustain injuries in the collision. Details about the cause of the crash were not immediately available, as law enforcement officials continued their on-site investigation, which lasted around 2.5 hours and caused extensive traffic delays on the highway.
The emergency response involved multiple agencies, with Oregon State Police being assisted by Cascades Central Fire, Crescent Fire, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
