Creve Coeur residents will need to adjust to changes in their waste collection services starting this summer, as a new yard waste collection system will be implemented. According to a recent announcement from the City of Creve Coeur's official website, the current sticker/tag/bag program for yard waste is getting discontinued, and from July 1, a subscription-based yard waste service kicks into gear. The service, provided by Republic Services, will charge residents a fee of $12.51 per month for weekly collection of contained yard waste.
The new program requires residents to commit to at least a three-month consecutive period, aiming to ensure consistent yard waste management. To sign up for the service or to cancel, residents will need to directly get in touch with Republic Services. A point of convenience is that a yard waste cart will be offered at no additional cost upon request, as outlined in the information released by the City of Creve Coeur website.
Amid the upcoming changes, citizens must take note that the pre-existing yard waste stickers, tags, or bags will become obsolete post June 30. Any remaining items must be used before this cut-off date, setting a clear deadline for the transition to the new service model. The average fee per single-family home for these services is set to increase from $14.25 to $17.55 per month.
