Johnson and Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux, along with other city leaders and Dallas Independent School District (DISD) officials, announce the return of the Summer of Safety campaign. Now in its fourth year, the initiative aims to promote community well-being and foster a secure environment for residents during the season when schools are typically out and citywide activities increase.
The press conference, slated for 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, will be held at Singing Hills Recreation Center. Speakers, including Mayor Johnson, Chief Comeaux, and DISD Superintendent Dr. Stephanie Elizalde, are expected to outline the details of the campaign and discuss strategies for keeping Dallas neighborhoods safe. If rain dampens their plans, the indoor gymnasium will shelter the event.
